Element Energy commence two exciting new heat network feasibility studies

Posted on

Element Energy have recently been commissioned by North East Lincolnshire Council to assess the viability of heat networks in the region. Funded by the UK Government’s Heat Networks Delivery Unit (HNDU), the study will consider opportunities for capturing waste heat from the region’s industrial sites, for tapping into the area’s substantial geothermal resource and even extracting heat from the River Humber to provide heat to thousands of homes and businesses.

Element Energy has also recently commenced a HNDU-funded project working with Reading Borough Council to examine the feasibility of a heat network in Reading Town Centre. The study area will focus on the numerous redevelopment areas in the Town Centre.
