Element Energy at Turkey Smart Grid Congress

Element Energy’s Shane Slater and Emrah Durusut were invited by the British Embassy Ankara Turkey to attend the 5th International Istanbul Smart Grids & Smart Cities Congress and Fair 2017, which was attended by senior government representatives, regulators and CEO’s from Electricity and Gas Utilities and technology developers.

During the Opening Ceremony, Judith Slater, British Consul-General to Istanbul, explained the importance of “Renewable Energy Technologies Economic Analysis Tool”, which was designed by Element Energy for UNDP Turkey, in partnership with the Turkish Government, to evaluate the economic, environmental and efficiency benefits of a variety of relevant technology options.

Element Energy’s Director, Shane Slater joined the United Kingdom Panel to discuss the impact of low-carbon technologies on Transmission and Distribution networks, distribution network investment forecasting and commercial arrangements for battery storage and demand side response.
