Aerospace Safety

Our client, a large aerospace company, asked us to analyse a number of designs for safety-inerting an aircraft fuel tank. We developed a time dependent model of the inerting process, and identified suitable positions for injectors to minimise the volumes of explosive mixtures. CFD was key in reducing time-to-manufacture in this safety-critical application. Our CFD analysis has been quality controlled and approved for safety-related aerospace applications.
